Microsoft AI Immersion Course
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming industries across the globe. This 3-month training program in Microsoft Azure AI Fundamentals is designed specifically for 7th and 8th semester engineering students. The program combines foundational AI knowledge with practical application through thematic workshops and hands-on applied skills projects, preparing students to tackle real-world AI challenges using Azure.

Online Preparation: Online Classes Start October 15, 2024

Students will engage in online classes thrice a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) leading up to each thematic workshop. These sessions will focus on introducing and preparing students on the AI theme and the applied skills project for the upcoming workshop.

Program Duration:

  • Start Date: October 15, 2024
  • Online Classes: Every working Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm
  • End Date: January 30, 2025
  • Project Completion Deadline: January 04, 2025
  • Certification Exam Completion Date: By January 30, 2025

Project Details:
• Choose one hands-on Applied Skills project from Microsoft as per the Microsoft
Applied Skills Challenge.
• Completion of the project is mandatory to get a verified skill certificate and be 
eligible for the internship certificate. 


Support:
Weekly query resolution and doubt-clearing sessions starting from September 3rd, 
every Tuesday and Thursday at 4:30 PM (excluding holidays) until mid-October.

  • Artificial Intelligence Workloads and Considerations
    The course introduces various AI workloads such as image recognition, speech processing, and predictive analytics. It explains how these workloads operate, their business applications, and the key considerations for deploying them on Azure, including scalability, security, cost, and performance.

  • Fundamental Principles of Machine Learning on Azure
    Participants will explore the core principles of machine learning (ML) and how they are implemented using Azure services. Topics include supervised and unsupervised learning, model training, evaluation, and deployment, as well as an introduction to Azure Machine Learning and its capabilities.

  • Computer Vision Workloads on Azure
    The course delves into computer vision workloads, including image recognition, object detection, and facial recognition, using Azure’s powerful tools like Azure Cognitive Services. Learners will understand the features of Azure Vision services and how to integrate them into AI solutions for visual data processing.

  • Natural Language Processing (NLP) Workloads on Azure
    An in-depth look at NLP workloads, this section covers language understanding, sentiment analysis, and text generation. Using Azure’s NLP services such as Text Analytics and Language Studio, participants will learn how to analyze and process text-based data for practical business solutions.

  • Generative AI Workloads on Azure
    Finally, the course explores generative AI, focusing on technologies such as GPT models and other generative tools that can create new content, from text to images. Students will understand how Azure supports the development of generative AI solutions and the ethical considerations when using these technologies.
